Q: If we don’t have our ceremony at Rustic Manor 1848 is the venue price discounted?

A: The rental price for the facility includes access from 10am-12am (Friday & Saturday) and 10am-11pm (Sunday & Weekdays). There are many things that need to be addressed and accomplished before your dinner and reception therefore, the rental price for the day cannot be altered. We pride ourselves in focusing on only one wedding per day.

Q: What time can our vendors arrive to set up?

A: Vendor arrival time is as early as 10:00am on event days. All vendors must vacate by the premises no later than 30 minutes after the contracted vacate time. China and linen deliveries can be made any time after 10:00am the morning of your event. Delivered items must be removed at the end of the event. Deliveries cannot be made on days other than the event and Rustic Manor 1848 does not permit items to be “stored” for days leading up to the scheduled event. All items must come in and leave the same day of the event.

Q: Are there any vendor restrictions?

A: We operate with a Preferred List of caterers for you to choose from. We have no other vendor restrictions so feel free to use the florist/baker/DJ/etc. of your choosing. See our Catering FAQ sheet for additional policies. When it comes to décor, we are happy to work with you in order to create your dream wedding however, some restrictions may apply for affixing décor to our walls.

Q: Our caterer offers alcoholic beverage services. Can we use them?

A: No. The Rustic Manor 1848 bar must provide all beverages for your event. Alcohol will be confiscated if guests/vendors carry-in outside alcohol onto the property. To review WI laws regarding alcohol at establishments with Class B Licenses, such as ourselves, please email us directly.

We accept all forms of payment (cash, check, ACH transfer, and credit card). All payments are non-refundable. Dates are available on a first serve basis.

Q: What does your Event Staff take care of the day of my event?

A: The Rustic Manor Service Staff is responsible for set-up and take-down of all tables and chairs for both your ceremony and reception. They also maintain the facility’s cleanliness throughout your event. They are not responsible for catering or dinner service, releasing dinner tables for the buffet, clearing tables after meals, décor set-up, setting linens, packaging of rentals or personal belongings or working for your outside vendors. We suggest a Personal Attendant or Wedding Planner to oversee these details for you both of which, we are happy to provide.

Q: What size tables & how chairs do you offer?

A: For dinner service, we have 60” round tables which comfortably seat 8 guests per table. We also include 6’ and 8’ banquet tables for your head table, DJ, buffet, etc. These are plastic folding tables and will need to be covered with linens. Rustic Manor does not supply linens for your event. We supply up to 500 white padded folding chairs for your event. We have 300 inside the barn and 200 are available for outdoor ceremony.

Q: We’d like an outdoor ceremony but what is the back-up plan in case of rain?

A: Inside the barn, our hayloft holds up to 160 guests for an indoor ceremony. We work with both the bride and the groom to make a decision regarding indoor vs. outdoor 24hrs ahead of time to ensure our staff has enough time for chair setup. It is always recommended that 160 guests or less be invited to a ceremony at Rustic Manor 1848 in order to allow for an indoor option if needed.

Q: What can we use the hayloft for?

A: Our barn is designed like a traditional Wisconsin barn with a large lower level and significant hayloft overlooking from above. This area is used to accommodate up to 100 guests for dinner, for an indoor ceremony (up to 160 seated), or a variety of other things such as your DJ or band, photo booth, snack bars, cigar bars, specialty cocktail/wine/craft beer bars or beautiful cocktail hour. A Mobile Bar rental is available through Rustic Manor 18484. We leave this choice up to you!

A: Rustic Manor 1848 is a no flame property so unfortunately we cannot allow any candles (open or enclosed) anywhere on-site. We also do not allow bonfires, sparklers or floating/release lanterns. However, flames used for catering and buffet service are perfectly acceptable. Grills and ovens are also prohibited and cannot be used by your selected caterer as cooking is not permitted on site; food must arrive hot and ready for service.

Q: Can we use the B&B Farmhouse during to get ready or take pictures?

A: No. The Rustic Manor farmhouse is the primary residence of owners Eric & Whitney Shneyder. For the safety and security of their home, it is not open for clients or guests to enter or use during an event. A single bedchamber is offered to the clients the night of their event. Check-in is only permitted at the conclusion of the scheduled event. Venue rental prices are not discounted if the B&B is not used.
